I’m Ellie Augustini. I design, build, and operate infrastructure—the sort expected to keep working after the launch post has yellowed and the architecture diagram has become speculative fiction.

My work sits where systems engineering, public infrastructure, integration, and open source collide. I care about the boundary between an elegant abstraction and the physical machine that eventually has to honour it: networks, firmware, storage, deployment machinery, and the human procedures holding the whole arrangement together with alarming confidence.

The fieldnotes are the written record: incident reports, technical arguments, and things learned by refusing to accept “that should work” as an observation. The projects are practical answers. Both are built around the same principle: technology should be legible to the people who must live with it.

I care about digital sovereignty, durable public systems, accessibility, local archives, and software that remains useful after its marketing vocabulary expires. Also mechanical watches and modular synthesis—two excellent ways to turn electricity and stubbornness into additional maintenance.
